nanoBTS picocells

The nanoBTS picocells are complete GSM basestations that use the standard Um interface to the handset and an Abis interface carried over IP for the backhaul. Choose from two picocells:

  • nanoBTS for GPRS/GSM – one of the smallest picocells on the market, supporting all GSM handsets.
  • nanoBTS EDGE/AMR – up to three times the data rate with EDGE support and up to three times the number of users with half rate AMR.

nanoBTS

Is the world smallest BTS:
  • Pop it in. Connect to the BSC. You’re up and running.
  • Available in 900, 1800 or 1900MHz bands.
  • Up to 200mW output for coverage up to several hundred metres
  • Backhaul over broadband with a single Ethernet connection

nanoBTS EDGE/AMR:

  • Triple data rates with EDGE support (coding MCS-1-9)
  • Triple the number of users with half-rate AMR
  • Single 10/100 Ethernet connection
  • The smallest footprint in the industry
Both offer indoor coverage up to 125,000sqm, low-cost IP backhaul and simple deployment.
