Yahoo! will launch its Romanian portal

Yahoo! announced plans to launch the yahoo.ro version of its portal. Yahoo! Europe Business Development Manager Darren Peterson visited Romania early this week to prepare the launch of yahoo.ro.

“Darren came to Romania to discuss the collaboration with potential partners,” according to Bobby Voicu, Community Manager Yahoo! in Romania.

According to Voicu, Yahoo! is also preparing to launch the Turkish version of its portal. Voicu was recently appointed Community Manager in Romania, to establish a link between Romanian users and the company, and to ascertain user expectations on content and services.
